Today, nearly one billion people lack electricity, more than three billion lack clean water, and 750 million lack basic literacy skills. Many of these challenges could be solved with existing solutions, and technology allows us to reach the last mile like never before. Yet, few solutions attain the necessary scale to match the size of these challenges.
Join the Center for Global Development for the launch of Scaling Up Development Impact, a new book by Isabel Guerrero, Siddhant Gokhale, and Jossie Fahsbender, which draws from a decade of experience in supporting grassroots organizations to scale impact at Imago Global Grassroots and pulls insights from a Harvard Kennedy School course with the same name. The book weaves together organizational experiences, showcasing real-life journeys toward increased impact. It bridges concepts relevant to scaling up from various disciplines, including economics, psychology, systems thinking, design thinking, and adaptive evaluation and management.
Isabel Guerrero will share some of the key ideas and lessons from the book, and other experts will engage in a moderated discussion on scaling up development impact.
