Public Group
active 1 year agoThe Education Working Group is made up of individuals from more than 40 donors, foundations, think tanks, research, and development organizations united by their interest in scaling the impact of education interventions to expand learning opportunities to all children and youth. Areas of particular interest for the group include unpacking implementation challenges related to scaling in education, the use of cost data and analysis to inform scaling decisions, challenges of equity and inclusion as relates to scaling, and issues of sustainability and systems thinking. Members of the Working Group include professionals with vast experience from the field, and the group explicitly tries to take advantage of opportunities to learn across sectors, while also exploring particular scaling drivers and pathways, such as government adoption, where experiences in the education sector can most contribute to broader lessons. In addition to quarterly virtual meetings and potentially collaborating on written products such as blogs and other commentary, the Working Group encourages and supports exchanges among its members on a variety of subjects and is seeking innovative ways to elevate the voices of students, teachers, government officials, and others not typically involved in CoP activities to enrich our discussions. Like all CoP Working Groups, participation in, and management of, the Education Working Group is done on a purely voluntary basis.
