Health
The Health Technical Working Group (TWG) is open to professionals working in all fields of global health. In the past, the TWG has been led by the Evidence to Action Project and ExpandNet and has had a special focus on systematic approaches to scale up in reproductive health and family planning (FP/RH). Going forward there is now a desire to engage with professionals from a broad range of technical areas of health. The TWG seeks to systematically build on shared experiences and insights on the determinants of sustainable scale up from a wide range of fields of global health, as well as other relevant disciplines including the organization, management, policy and implementation sciences. Current members include individuals from a diverse range of global health and development institutions with an interest in advancing the science and practice of scale-up, such as: regional- and country-level policy makers, program managers, technical support personnel, together with researchers from the public, private, donor and NGO sectors. ExpandNet will continue to lead the group, which will host quarterly meetings focused on critical topics related to scale-up, ensuring the participation of colleagues working on scale up in low- and middle- income countries. Like all CoP Working Groups, participation in the Health TWG is voluntary.

Scaling Up in Fragile States
The Scaling-Up in Fragile States Working Group began in May 2016 and includes over 50 professionals from bilateral donors, multilateral institutions, universities, think tanks, business and non-governmental aid agencies. The Group serves as a platform for thought leadership and dialogue on scaling-up in fragile states, as well as a repository of research, policy reports and other resources that inform scaling in difficult contexts. Additionally, the Group serves as a sounding board for members to share challenges and assess opportunities around specific initiatives--wherever they are in the scaling process. Group members may invite their partners and affiliates to participate in a session and benefit from the Group's input on their scaling initiatives in fragile contexts.
The Working Group’s scope of inquiry involves:
(a) applying scaling-up approaches to bridge the nexus between humanitarian, peace and development interventions;
(b) elaborating on the obstacles to scaling in fragile states and how they have been overcome, or when scaling should not have been attempted;
(c) promoting adaptive, resilient and politically-smart methods for scaling;
(d) examining ways to strengthen country institutions and mobilize private sector finance for durable scaling in a range of fragile contexts;
The Group looks for opportunities to stimulate wider discussions across the Community of Practice in an effort to promote scalable solutions in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals and Leave No One Behind agenda.
