Richard Carey
Richard Carey is a Senior Fellow at the African Centre for Economic Transformation and a member of the OECD DAC History Project. He previously served as Director of Development Cooperation at the OECD, where he advanced work on aid effectiveness, trade, statistics, and peer reviews. Carey played a role in shaping international development targets and the UN Millennium Development Goals. He began his career at the New Zealand Treasury and holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and an Honorary Doctorate from Victoria University of Wellington.
