Homi Kharas

Dr. Homi Kharas is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Sustainable Development at the Brookings Institution. He previously served as interim Vice President and Director of the Global Economy and Development program. Kharas was lead author and executive secretary of the UN High-Level Panel on the post-2015 development agenda. He served 26 years at the World Bank, including as Chief Economist for East Asia and Pacific. Kharas authored several books and numerous articles on global development policy and trends.
